Rob focuses on Sales and Finance and Administration and has extensive experience and passion for building channel-based businesses.

Prior to Video Insight, Rob founded and served as President and Chief Executive Officer for Emerging, an e-Business professional services firm with offices in Houston, Austin, and San Francisco. Emerging was a leading channel partner of BEA Systems. Emerging was able to grow it's revenues from zero to over $13 million in one calendar year.

In 1998 Rob co- founded Ashford.com, the leading Internet retailer of luxury and premium personal accessories. Ashford.com completed an initial public offering in September of 1999 lead by Goldman Sachs & Co. Shaw served as Chairman of the Board for Ashford.com from its inception until it was acquired by GSI Commerce in March 2002.

In 1989, Mr. Shaw founded Synergy Development Corporation and served as its President and Chief Executive Officer until the successful sale of the company to E-partners. Synergy was regarded as one of the world's largest and most successful channel partners for Great Plains Software. Great Plains was a channel-only ERP software company that was sold to Microsoft in 2000.

Before founding Synergy, Shaw served as the Vice President of Sales and Finance for StyleWare, Inc., an award-winning software development company for the Apple II and Macintosh platforms. At a very young age, Rob and his two partners were able to grow their business from a college dormitory to a 55 person, industry-leading company that was sold to Apple Computer less than 3 years after being formed.

Rob was selected as Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Emerging.com in 2000, selected by Texas E-com as a Top Ten award winner for the Year in 2000, currently serves on two other software industry board of directors and graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

James oversees all aspects of technology and strategy for Video Insight. He has spent his career starting and growing successful technology companies. His in-depth technology experiences along with his loss prevention and customer service background provide a great foundation for Video Insight.

Prior to Video Insight, James was President, CIO and co-founder of Ashford.com, a NASDAQ listed public e-commerce retailer with annual sales over $60 million and investors including Benchmark Capital, Sequoia Capital, Bowman Capital, Austin Ventures and Goldman Sachs. Ashford.com completed an initial public offering in September of 1999 lead by Goldman Sachs & Co. While at Ashford, James deployed an early DVR system that monitored a 40,000 square foot jewelry warehouse. The system recorded daily package shipments and tied them to customer service records for a complete detailed history.

Prior to Ashford, James was the CIO at Synergy Development Corporation, providing custom solutions for large enterprises including Pulte Homes, Fleetwood Retail and Walden Residential. Synergy was regarded as one of the world's largest and most successful channel partners for Great Plains Software. Great Plains was an enterprise resource planning solution offered exclusively through a channel that was purchased by Microsoft in 2000.

James earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. He has received honors including Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Ashford.com in 2000, the University Of Houston Business School Future 500 Award in 2001, and the Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Excellent Customer Service in 2002.
